First things first, what a bummer! I really thought we had a chance of going all the way.
I am of course talking about the football, not some group orgy. One of the things I really miss from living in the UK, is the atmosphere at the pub whilst watching football; Being in Australia, I was up at 4am with a strong coffee and the TV volume on low so I didn't wake up the kids, not quite the same experience as being at the Fleece and Firkin with my mates, a pint of Scrumpy Jack and a packed pub full of crazy strangers totally united in one common goal (literally). Qatar 2022 - it's coming home (so am I)

A guy brings his new golf friend home unannounced for dinner at 6.30pm, after enjoying a day on the course.
His wife screams her head off while his new friend sits at the kitchen table open mouthed, listening to the tirade.
"My hair is a mess, I have no make up on, I'm still in my friggen PJ's, the house is a shambles, all the dirty dishes are still in the sink, the kids have been arseholes all day and I'm bloody exhausted, I have nothing for dinner - why the F**K did you bring him home without letting me know ahead of time????"
"because he is thinking of getting married"
